In a nutshell, I HELP PEOPLE FIND A FUTURE THAT FITS. As an ICF-certified (PCC) career and executive coach, I am an ardent and enthusiastic supporter of people in their quest toward self-discovery, growth, fulfillment and success, especially related to their jobs and careers.
Having led more than 1,700 coaching sessions for hundreds of clients, I have exercised advanced knowledge of career/executive coaching and job search practices along with strategic business, human resources, leadership development, and organizational development principles. I am certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and have also earned the SHRM-SCP designation.
My career spans more than 35 years and includes significant prior experience as a coach, organizational development professional and human resources leader at various companies, including Lee Hecht Harrison (as an adjunct coach at Capital One’s renowned Career Development Center), Hamilton Beach Brands, Reynolds Metals Company, Dominion Virginia Power, Philip Morris USA and MSBCoach.
I began my career in such diverse capacities as environmental engineer, lobbyist, and area business/operations manager before finding his career “calling.” I can truly relate to people in all lines of profession who are trying to take charge of their careers.
I have a knack for getting along with a wide range of people, regardless of where they come from, their status in life or occupation, or their personal nuances. I take my work seriously, but try not to take myself too seriously.
While I enjoy offering perspectives in unique ways and “seeing lights go on” in others, I emphasize with clients their need to take responsibility for achieving their desired outcomes.
I have advanced knowledge of:
– career coaching
– executive coaching
– job search
– strategic human resources
